Hi! I am Miss Anna. I’m a passionate preschool teacher who loves watching little minds grow through play, creativity, and curiosity. I strive to create a warm and welcoming space where every child feels safe, loved, and free to be themselves. There’s nothing better than seeing the joy and wonder in their eyes as they learn and explore day.

Georgina joined our board in 2024 to leverage her writing and communication skills to support our fundraising efforts. She values civic engagement and enjoys volunteering to support the youth and agriculture in Douglas County.

Hi! I’m Ashley Oberman, Secretary for the Board of Oakland Play School. My son attended the play school and I am so excited to have his little sister attend this magical school when she is old enough. It was very important to me to be involved in my child’s academics while also letting him be a little more independent and interactive with friends of his age. I find such joy in being a small part in these wonderful kiddos lives and supporting such an awesome program that teaches them such special tools to exceed in their everyday lives and as well as preparing for kindergarten, all while at play!

Hi there! I am Nikki and I’m thrilled to share a bit about myself. I am married to my wonderful husband, Jay, and together we’re seeing our three amazing kids, Teagan, Dimitri, and Molly. Dimitri had a blast attending Playschool from 2020 to 2022 and now, Molly is keeping us on our toes in the 4s class. When I’m not cheering on my family you can find me working at the post office in either Glide or Oakland. As a treasure of the playschool, I’m always looking for ways to stay organized and balanced – skills that definitely come in handy at home and on the job.

Hello! I’ve always had a passion for helping others and over the past 30 years I’ve dedicated my time to volunteering in a variety of roles. Being part of the Oakland Co-op Play School community feels as natural to me as riding bike – it’s where I truly feel at home. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from UC Davis and an associate of science degree, and I love combining fun with problem-solving to support our students and teachers. Helping our amazing teacher and kids reach their goals is always my top priority specially after seeing the incredible growth my own children experience in this program. I’m excited to continue building a nurturing inspiring environment where all our kids can thrive and shine.
